Zara Steiner, FBA (née Shakow; 6 November 1928 – 13 February 2020) was an American-born British historian and academic. She specialised in foreign relations, international relations, 20th century history of Europe and of the United States. From 1968 to 1995, she was a Fellow of New Hall (as Murray Edwards College was known at that time) in Cambridge. In 2007, she was elected a Fellow of the British Academy (FBA), the UK's national academy for the humanities and the social sciences.
